Fashion Feature: Kixies Thigh Highs
If you’ve been following along on my social media channels one brand I’m sure you’ve seen me mention, on multiple occasions, would be the ever fabulous and oh so stylish Kixie’s Thigh Highs ! I have been rocking these amazing thigh highs for years and can’t wait to share just how fabulous they are!
Let’s chat fit! One of the amazing things about Kixies is the fact they have such a wide size range – they begin at a size A meant for people between the height of 4’11-5’5 with a thigh circumference of up to 20″ and weighing between 90 and 140lbs. Their largest size is a D meant for heights between 5’5 and 6′ ft with a thigh circumference of up to 35′ and weighing between 17-260+. I personally wear D’s and they fit like a dream! For reference I’m a size 20, 5’1, and weigh in about 290lbs.
Now let’s chat styles – oh my goodness does Kixies offer up a wide variety of styles! Over thirty styles offered; from fishnet, to plaid, polka dots, to vintage and retro styles they offer it all. Recently Kixies also expanded to fishnet body suits that are oh so sexy. Below I’ve included a few of my favorite images featuring these fabulous thigh highs.
And now for the most important part: FIT! The great thing about these Kixies thigh highs is that they DON’T muffin top the top of my thighs! Now what do I mean by muffin top? Sometimes these brands will make the thigh circumference so small that it will dig in to the thigh and create this “popping out” effect that is just not comfortable and in my case creates major chub rub. I am on the shorter side but have found for the thickness of my thighs that the D option fits me best. Like any delicate item these thigh highs are no different and should be treated with care. I keep my thigh highs in their own little garment bag and hand wash them, and like any stocking use care when slipping on or off. Below I’ve included a few fun clips of how I style my thigh highs.
