Hey Loves! Excited to share this week’s fashion feature with Fashion To Figure, FTF is a brand who believes fashion is a state of mind, not a size range and carry the latest looks in women’s plus size clothing.
Now before we dive in to this denim overhaul I want to point out that over the last few months I’ve gained some weight and went up a pant size, not mad about it but this is what prompted my search for new denim pieces. I firmly believe that when clothing no longer fits but is in good condition it should be donated and no longer kept in the wardrobe. It’s harmful to your mental health to keep “inspiration garments”, these are pieces you no longer fit and keep them in the hopes you’ll loose weight again to fit this garment. And then every time you don’t fit that garment you allow negative thoughts about the body and your lack of ‘weight loss’ effect your mental health and your confidence, when in fact Fashion should be made for your body and we should not be manipulating our bodies to fit these fashion pieces. So with that being said, lets get in to this denim hunt!!
Let’s start with the High Rise Light Wash Crossover Waist Jeans I did like this pair but felt with my b-belly/apron shape belly just wasn’t the cut for me, I was worried about my tummy spilling out over the top, even though they fit perfect my anxiety about my tummy popping out the top kept me from really enjoying these. I will add the length of these jeans are perfect and I wouldn’t need to hem them, FTF offers a short inseam option at no extra cost which was so lovely because I’m used to having to hem my pants myself so having this petite option was great!!!
Next up we have the High Rise Rhinestone Button Fly Skinny Jeans and I am IN LOVE!! These beauties fit like a damn dream! Not to snug on the tummy, perfect hem line so no hemming them myself, and oh so comfortable!! These have to be one of my top fav denim jeans I’ve ever tried on!!
Ultra High Rise Black Skinny Jeans are a classic for sure and I think everyone should have a pair of dark denim jeans. Fit incredible, not too snug, perfect length and felt really comfortable in this cut of denim.
Dark Blue Wash Denim Cargo Overalls are a dream come true!! I’ve never been able to find overalls in my size that fit me right, they usually end up bunching up somewhere unwanted or not fitting right in the bust – with these overalls that is so not a problem!! These beauties fit to perfection and I can’t wait to style a few fun fall looks!
Sharice High Rise Split Hem Jeans are super cute! I would suggest sizing up in these – otherwise perfect! LOVE the color, as a plus size babe I use to only wear dark denim and now that I’m branching out to lighter and bolder colors – I am NOT disappointed! Love the split hem – perfect to show off whatever pair of shoes you’ve got going on that day!
High Rise Medium Blue Wash Jeggings are so dang comfy! Didn’t have any issues pulling them up and on, no issues pulling up over belly and they fit great!!! Loved how relaxed the denim was so was comfortable to lounge in and looked great to go out and run errands in! A total win!!
