First Haircut in Over Year Since Pandemic Struck, Here’s How It Went…

Hey Loves! Even knowing I’ve had my second dose of Pfizer and have hit the point where I’ve got antibodies – I have to say my anxiety about leaving the house was still in full effect. With that being said I was determined to not let fear hold me back. So I found the fabulous Mone’t Ha-Sidi located at Sector 7 Salon (who happens to be fully vaccinated as well) and headed out.

First off, the salon is uberly cute! Mostly concrete and chrome/metal work with a definite sci-fi theme. From the Star Wars collectibles and metal cutouts, to the galaxy paint job in the wash room and the Harry Potter bathroom this salon has a unique appeal that I personally love! I’m a huge Star Wars nerd so felt at home lol.

Mone’t is absolutely a wonderful soul and felt comfortable with her immediately. Now because I wanted a fresh start we went with a more ginger hue – something close to natural so it would easier to maintain. We started the process and while we waited we enjoyed a little Mario cart in the Salons Game Room.

I couldn’t have been more pleased with how this color came out, I’ve been dreaming about this color change for years and Mone’t truly brought that change to a reality!!

Annnnnd the reveal!!!

I truly wasn’t expecting the amount of emotions this hair cut and color change would bring on, on top of interacting with other adults outside of my pod (all vaccinated including myself) for the first time in person (we where all masked up the entire time as well) since the pandemic struck. It was liberating, heart wrenching, and utterly joyous to be able to engage in conversation and just be in the presence of others.

Overall, the location is Amazing. Mone’t is GENIUS and I can’t wait to go back!
