Fashion Feature: Kixies Thigh Highs

If you’ve been following along on my social media channels one brand I’m sure you’ve seen me mention, on multiple occasions, would be the ever fabulous and oh so stylish Kixie’s Thigh Highs ! I have been rocking these amazing thigh highs for years and can’t wait to share just how fabulous they are!

Let’s chat fit! One of the amazing things about Kixies is the fact they have such a wide size range – they begin at a size A meant for people between the height of 4’11-5’5 with a thigh circumference of up to 20″ and weighing between 90 and 140lbs. Their largest size is a D meant for heights between 5’5 and 6′ ft with a thigh circumference of up to 35′ and weighing between 17-260+. I personally wear D’s and they fit like a dream! For reference I’m a size 20, 5’1, and weigh in about 290lbs.

Now let’s chat styles – oh my goodness does Kixies offer up a wide variety of styles! Over thirty styles offered; from fishnet, to plaid, polka dots, to vintage and retro styles they offer it all. Recently Kixies also expanded to fishnet body suits that are oh so sexy. Below I’ve included a few of my favorite images featuring these fabulous thigh highs.

And now for the most important part: FIT! The great thing about these Kixies thigh highs is that they DON’T muffin top the top of my thighs! Now what do I mean by muffin top? Sometimes these brands will make the thigh circumference so small that it will dig in to the thigh and create this “popping out” effect that is just not comfortable and in my case creates major chub rub. I am on the shorter side but have found for the thickness of my thighs that the D option fits me best. Like any delicate item these thigh highs are no different and should be treated with care. I keep my thigh highs in their own little garment bag and hand wash them, and like any stocking use care when slipping on or off. Below I’ve included a few fun clips of how I style my thigh highs.

Any questions or comments? Drop em below and let’s chat!

Social Distancing Distraction: Repurposing Fashion; Wardrobe Repeats Please!

Hey Loves! So I’ve got a confession to make… I am an outfit repeater! Yup, I said it and own it proudly lol. In a society of “one and done” media looks it can be easy to disregard an outfit once it’s been “gramed” (you know posted on social media like Instagram and what not). Well, I’m not the type to throw something away just because I’ve worn it once – I’ve become a pro at restyling and changing up the looks of garments – so today, I wanted to to share some of my tricks with you all!

I’ll show you how to take this dress and make it into…
This!

My process: once I’ve worn something at least three times I’m ready to change it up – style wise or completely altering a garment. As someone who doesn’t gravitate towards white I decided to alter this baby!

First up is fabric dye – I like using RIT Dye Easy to use, easy directions and step by step instructions, and I always get the color I’m looking for.

Once you’ve got it all dyed you can leave it as is, like the image below…

Still a gorgeous dress, now in a sunny yellow, and I loved shooting it this way buuuuut I wanted to take it another step further and turned this dress in to a crop top with matching skirt and it turned out beautifully!

So to achieve this two piece look I grabbed my fabric scissors and cut straight through the seam that connected the bodice of the dress to the skirt. I had to be extra careful when cutting due to the liner, once cut I pinned my hem on the top and the skirt, then hand sewed the new hems with the liner on the top and the skirt and voila!! A gorgeous new set to romp around in.

Until next time Loves! As always thank you for the support and please feel free to leave a comment on what other content you’d like to see while we’re practicing social distance!

Wardrobe Remix With Pretty Little Thing: White Jumpsuit Styled Three Ways

Hey Loves! Back again with a brand new wardrobe remix! In this edition of wardrobe remix I’m styling this gorgeous jumpsuit with puff sleeves from Pretty Little Thing! But first let’s talk about this gorgeous retro vibin one piece: as a petite woman (5’1) the length of the legs was waaay to much for me so I ended up having to cuff the hem, the fabric itself is comfortable with lots of give so I was never feeling like a stuffed sausage in this baby, not once was I scratching or itching because of uncomfortable fabric or liners and surprisingly the fabric was pretty lightweight so I wasn’t sweltering in it either, the plunging neckline was a blast to play with and it fit phenomenally around my middle.

Now let’s talks styling; with the plunging neckline I knew that any way I styled this look the lingerie underneath was going to show, so I did a little research and found Brassy Bra (boob tape) to create this glowing cleavage!

The first way I styled this jumpsuit was with a body chain that disappeared beneath the fabric giving that vavavoom sexy appeal I love oh so much, I added bright and colorful heels to off play so much white and a fun bright lip that matched my heels to livin up this look!

The second way I styled this look was by putting a little retro spin on it! First I adjusted the length of the sleeve and made it three quarters. I then went with a high ponytail, vintage looking cat eye bejeweled sunglasses, and a polka dot belt with the cutest bow in the back. I ended this look with a pair of edgy black and white heels, red earrings that matched my lipstick, and a vintage black hand bag.

The final way I styled this look was coordinating accessories and makeup: I used a powerful red lip that I matched my earrings, collar, sunglasses, toe nail polish, and clutch to. Clear heels kept the focus on my red accents. I also once again adjusted the sleeve length to just above the wrists on my forearm.

A few styling notes; I wanted to add that any jacket, cropped sweater/shrug, or shoulder wrap will also drastically change the look of this jumpsuit, with it being warmer weather I stuck with warmer looks this time. Also with how much room there is in the fabric of the legs of this jumpsuit it would be super easy to temporarily change the length of the legs by using fabric tape or hemming tape and changing the length of the legs to shorts or Capri length, then when done remove tape and BAM you still have your full length jumpsuit.

Until next time Loves,

Review with Brassy Bra: The Incredible Breast Tape

Intro, demo, and three quick looks with Brassy Bra

My Loves, have I got something wonderful to share with you: Brassy Bra! This fabulous boob tape works wonders for my cleavage so I had to share it with you all, you know – so you Loves can make that cleavage utterly fabulous without the aid of an underwire bra while still giving a natural look with the support of Brassy Bra.

I also want to add that I also go without a bra in public as well and there is nothing wrong with that either – it’s still gorgeous and so is your chest without the aid of undergarments.

Now, A little about Brassy Bra: they are a 97% cotton blend that breathes and moves with you, while also lifting and supporting, comes in sizes A-DDDD (European A-G), and the adhesive is heat activated by body temp which allows you the freedom to move without the adhesive coming off. Brassy Bra also offers five different skin shades for you to choose from.

If you watched the video above you’ll see application is oh so easy! First step place the pastie over the nipple area – to protect from the sticky adhesive, second step remove the bottom sticker and place to desired place on the bottom of the breast, third secure and then remove the second sticker tab and place where desired cleavage effect is perfect for you – repeat for the other side and you are all set!

Brassy Bra recommends not wearing for longer than eight hours. Other pluses include its pretty much invisible under clothing (including mesh – I tried it), it’s dance and waterproof, disposable and the kit comes with three sets! You can also customize but cutting to your specific fit although they do say that more than half an inch or an inch and it can loose it’s desired effect.

While wearing Brassy Bra I felt almost like I had on two giant bandaids but not in a bad way. There was no pulling of skin, the fabric was light weight, it made my boobs look fabulous, and movement was never an issue.

Removing was also super simple! Following the Brassy suggestion I used vegetable oil to slowly take off the adhesive and then took a hot shower. There was no pain, no redness, and besides light imprints from the adhesive pattern no visible marks left behind.

Make sure to check back Friday 2/7/2020 for images from my latest shoot where I’ve styled three special looks around Brassy Bra! As always Loves, thank you for taking the time out of your day to spend a little time with over here.

Until next time,
