Fashion Feature: We Love Colors

Hey Loves! Back again and this week I wanted to introduce you all to We Love Colors (@Welovecolors)! We Love Colors has over 50+ color options in hosiery, dance wear and more! With a size range from Small to Eight X (S-8XL)!

I was so excited to style these! I chose the black and white stripe, yellow, and neon pink in the original style of tights. Next up I want to try a few of their other styles!

Now, let’s talk fit! I ordered all pairs in the original tights design. I ordered the 1x-4x of the plus size neon pink tights, the C/D of the yellow plus size neon, and a 1X in the black and white stripes. Now, let me start off by saying did any of you notice my mistake from the above sentence – yup, your girl forget to get the plus size version of the BW stripes but don’t worry I made do and will have a fun DIY craft protect coming up featuring those beauties.

As I was saying lol – the fit on the plus size tights is AHMAZING!!! As with all tights there will be some grunting and groaning getting them on but with We Love Colors the fit is so amazing that I literally just pulled these babies up. There was no squeezing of the belly and if fit great in my large thighs – there was no cutting off of circulation and they encased my beautiful thighs gloriously.

As you may have noticed I had so much fun styling these looks for these amazing tights! And the point of that was to show that you can have fun with any piece of garment from your wardrobe. And as We Love Colors likes to say their products are for All Colorful Creatures so I let my sense color out to play!

Had to throw in a quick update – We Love Colors has great face masks that fit comfortably around my double chin and chubby cheeks, and these purple tights are utterly incredible! No muffing topping around the belly and didn’t have to fight these babies on – not to mention super comfy to wear!

So until next time Loves,

Plus Size Fashion: Lola’s African Apparel

Story time! I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Lola backstage at one of the runway shows I walked for in San Fransisco (Lola pictured below), now I wasn’t walking for Lola but loved her designs so much that during a down time in rehearsals I asked for her social media handle so I could follow her brand and show support to a local designer I loved! Little did I know just how incredible Lola and her brand truly are.

Shop Lola’s African Apparel Here

Lola was born in Nigeria and immigrated to the US at a young age, she frequently traveled back and was inspired by the elegant and beautiful clothes that people wore, she had the idea to employ local seamstresses and tailors to bring her business to life making her garments artistically and authentically made by Africans. After sharing her creations with her community here in the US and seeing the positive response Lola then created Lola’s African Apparel!

Beautiful, bright, and stunning colors! Gorgeous prints! She chooses the most durable materials, works with local Nigerian artists, and she makes sure the fabrics are washable to continue accessibility. She carries a little something for everyone – children, men, plus, maternity, and she also has created face masks! Lola is proud to be a part of building the economy and supporting the livelihoods of the African people who share their craft with us, and is proud to have her garments made in Nigeria.

Below I’m wearing the beautiful Yemi Stretch Crop Top – I have to tell you Loves not only is the print stunning in its bold colors but the imagery is just stunning! The dramatic sleeve makes my heart pitter patter in gleeful joy – the movement is just gorgeous and the fabric isn’t heavy at all!! The fit was perfect! Tight where I needed it tight, loose in the best places – my arms! I have large arms and not once did it feel like I was shoving my arm in something too snug that would cut off circulation, it felt comfortable and could have easily fit me if I had been larger. For reference I wear an 18/20 and was wearing the 3X and is definitely say if your a 22 you’d easily fit in this top as well.

The first look using this top I decided to style it with a set of white suspenders to play off the small black stripe that has tiny white polka dots running through the print. I added a tight black pencil skirt, cute white ankle socks and fun tennis to complete this fall look.

When stepping out, don’t forget your mask – Lola even offers beautiful masks made from her stunning prints!

The second look I paired this gorgeous crop top with denim pants and the perfect accessory for Fall – black knee high boots.

The third look I created with this stunning crop top shows you can absolutely wear this beauty any time, any place. I was the queen of casual for grocery shopping trip but still managed to turns heads in this stunning top! paired with leggings, mules, and mask for a quick and stylish errand run!

Until next time Loves!

Sydney: Bra Fit, Try On, and Style Session

Plunge Push Up Bra & The Five Way Convertible Bra

Hey Loves! Back again and this time we are discussing, trying on and having a styling session with SYDNEY!

A new plus size lingerie brand that scours the globe to discover the most unique, size inclusive lingerie — from bralettes and bodysuits to naughty knickers and other goodies — that will elevate your every day (and every night).

Ready to dive in? Great – let’s start with the Plunge Push Up Bra! This red beauty has a gorgeous lace overlay detail that just elevates this bra from not only functional but down right sexy! With this particular bra you’ll want to order two cup sizes down as it tends to run two sizes larger. I’m normally a 42DD so instead I ordered a 42C and it fit phenomenal! The band didn’t dig in and was comfortable, plus was large enough that my fat roll wasn’t fighting it which meant no pinching or squeezing!

Next we have the five in one convertible bra! First I tried this baby as a strapless bra and I have to say the support and lift it provided without the straps was great! I will say that the band was a little snug and I probably would have ordered a size up just for a little more comfortable fit. I loved that this also came with the clear straps – even more styling options with these!

Hope you Loves enjoyed this session with SYDNEY!!

Wardrobe Remix With Pretty Little Thing: White Jumpsuit Styled Three Ways

Hey Loves! Back again with a brand new wardrobe remix! In this edition of wardrobe remix I’m styling this gorgeous jumpsuit with puff sleeves from Pretty Little Thing! But first let’s talk about this gorgeous retro vibin one piece: as a petite woman (5’1) the length of the legs was waaay to much for me so I ended up having to cuff the hem, the fabric itself is comfortable with lots of give so I was never feeling like a stuffed sausage in this baby, not once was I scratching or itching because of uncomfortable fabric or liners and surprisingly the fabric was pretty lightweight so I wasn’t sweltering in it either, the plunging neckline was a blast to play with and it fit phenomenally around my middle.

Now let’s talks styling; with the plunging neckline I knew that any way I styled this look the lingerie underneath was going to show, so I did a little research and found Brassy Bra (boob tape) to create this glowing cleavage!

The first way I styled this jumpsuit was with a body chain that disappeared beneath the fabric giving that vavavoom sexy appeal I love oh so much, I added bright and colorful heels to off play so much white and a fun bright lip that matched my heels to livin up this look!

The second way I styled this look was by putting a little retro spin on it! First I adjusted the length of the sleeve and made it three quarters. I then went with a high ponytail, vintage looking cat eye bejeweled sunglasses, and a polka dot belt with the cutest bow in the back. I ended this look with a pair of edgy black and white heels, red earrings that matched my lipstick, and a vintage black hand bag.

The final way I styled this look was coordinating accessories and makeup: I used a powerful red lip that I matched my earrings, collar, sunglasses, toe nail polish, and clutch to. Clear heels kept the focus on my red accents. I also once again adjusted the sleeve length to just above the wrists on my forearm.

A few styling notes; I wanted to add that any jacket, cropped sweater/shrug, or shoulder wrap will also drastically change the look of this jumpsuit, with it being warmer weather I stuck with warmer looks this time. Also with how much room there is in the fabric of the legs of this jumpsuit it would be super easy to temporarily change the length of the legs by using fabric tape or hemming tape and changing the length of the legs to shorts or Capri length, then when done remove tape and BAM you still have your full length jumpsuit.

Until next time Loves,

Kat XO
